Audi R8 gets a facelift with Vertini RF1.1
We’re really lucky here at Ozzy Tyres, the diversity of what comes through our workshop for a new set of wheels can be anything from an 80’s corolla, to a brand new Lamborghini Huracan or in this case a very tidy example Audi R8. Finished in gunmetal with the light silver accents, this R8 already has the Tony Stark feel… but that’s not enough for this owner and a set of wheels to individualise his ride is required!
Looking through the showroom there was 3 options which really stood out; but in this case and in many cases the Vertini RF1.1 was opted for, in a matching Gloss Graphite. A staggered set were selected measuring 20×8.5 on the front and 20×10 on the rear, these were then machined to the perfect (and secret!) offset.
After careful measuring we were set to machine, and the wheels were sent to our machining department whilst the tyres were delivered. A set of Lexani tyres were opted for, 295 on the rear and 235 on the front; maintaining the very staggered factory set up. With the wheels back from machining, it was time to wrap them up and starting bolting them on.
A test fit was first to ensure they cleared the massive front brakes, with literally a paper gap between the rim and the brake, we knew we had measured correctly! All four were put on and the end product… well the end product speaks for itself:
