Cooper tyres have been produced in the United States since 1930. They have been a major player in the Australian 4WD tyre market for many years.

Cooper ATR – value and performance

These tyres from Cooper utilise Cooper’s ATR technology – a solid centre rib ensures there is more rubber contacting the road, which leads to a faster steering response. Shorter tread sipes reduces chipping on dirt roads, and the new tread block shape is optimised to give maximum grip.

Incorporating a continuous band of nylon shrink-wraps around the steel belt, these tyres are protected against damage from hazards that may be encountered during off-road situations. The flatter tyre shape ensures that the tyre remains evenly distributed – which enhances cornering performance. Whilst these tyres may cost a little more, they have a long tyre life – and this is backed by a 90,000km guarantee. The recommended on/off road ratio is 80/20.
